I read through a lot of my art book, and I've been getting a lot of good practice with female figures. I never draw many female figures because I'm not very good at drawing them. I developed most of my drawing skills by looking at characters from famous comics, cartoons, and anime and from looking at myself in the mirror. Since most of the fictional characters I see are male (Spiderman, Naruto, Wolverine, Kappa Mikey) and I'm male, I don't really get good models for women. I guess I could draw minor characters like Mary Jane and Sakura, but they never seem interesting enough for me to draw. Anyway, I'm not trying to be sexist. I'm just saying what I see in my artistic life.

Also, I got a lot of good practice with hands too. I think the major problem I had before with drawing hands was that I always made the palm too short and focused too much on fingers which pretty much meant I drew fingers coming out of wrists.

Overall, I think this book is helpful.
